Configure Project Settings: Project Sites

Learn how to edit and update your project's unit of measure and area metrics in INGENIOUS.BUILD.

Prerequisites

Before updating the unit of measure:

  • Ensure relevant settings in Company Settings (e.g., Currency, Office Locations, Business Units) are properly configured by your Workspace Administrator.

  • Verify that you have the necessary permissions to edit Project Settings.


Overview

The process for updating the Unit of Measure has changed.

  • Previously, it was located under Project Information in Project Settings.

  • Now, it is found under Project Sites.

  • Additionally, Project size is now tracked per Project Site Address to allow more granular data capture.

This article explains how to access and update:

  • Gross Area, Rentable Area, and Usable Area.

  • How to handle different Unit of Measure types.


Process

1. Accessing Unit of Measure Settings

  1. Select the Project from the Project List.

  2. In the left-hand project menu, click Project Settings.

  3. Navigate to the Project Sites tab.


2. Adding or Editing a Project Site Address

  • If your project does not have an address:

    • Click Add a Project Site.

    • Fill in the required details.

  • If your project already has an address:

    • Select the existing site to edit the details.


3. Updating Unit of Measure and Area Metrics

  1. Once inside the Project Sites, locate the following fields:

    • Gross Area

    • Rentable Area

    • Usable Area

  2. Select the Unit of Measure:

    • Imperial: Different fields appear, with specific area unit options.

    • Metric: Displays corresponding metric units.

    • Power: No unit of measure is required.

    • Volume: Offers volume-based unit selections.

  3. Fill in the appropriate values based on your selection.

Note:

  • The available fields will automatically adjust based on the selected unit type.
