Overview

With INGENIOUS.BUILD, streamline specification management by leveraging OCR-driven automation for accurate organization and seamless collaboration, saving time and reducing errors in project documentation.

Tips for Accurate Specification Uploads

  1. Use the Right File Type:

    • Preferred: Vector PDF or TXT files (e.g., PDFs created from Word or Google Sheets).

    • Avoid PDFs from scanned documents, as OCR cannot reliably interpret them.

  2. Maintain Consistent Formatting:

    • Follow a uniform layout throughout the document.

    • Recommended Format: MasterFormat CSI, widely used in the USA and Canada.

  3. Clearly Define Sections:

    • Start of Section Example:

      SECTION XXXXXX - SECTION NAME
      PART 1 - GENERAL
    • End of Section Example:

      END OF SECTION XXXXXX
  4. Set Proper Page Dimensions:

    • Ensure pages are 8.5” x 11” with a vertical orientation.

By following these guidelines, you’ll enhance the precision and organization of your specifications within INGENIOUS.BUILD, ensuring a seamless and professional project workflow.
