Learn how to upload and configure drawing sets in your project.

Overview

The updated Drawings module in INGENIOUS.BUILD allows for efficient drawing uploads, organization, and version tracking. Follow these steps to upload and manage your drawings effectively.


Process

Step 1: Uploading a New Drawing

  • Navigate to the Drawings module.

  • Click + Add New Drawing to open the slide-out panel.

  • Choose one of the following options:

Add a Revision to an existing set.

Create a New Current Set (requires naming).

Create a New Draft Set (adds it to the Draft Set section).

4. If creating a New Current Set, enter a name (e.g., "Testing Demo"), select a category, and upload the drawing file.

Step 2: Configuring Drawings

  1. Once uploaded, click Configure.

2. Select the appropriate Sheet Number and Sheet Title. Mark a box over the designated area.

3. Click Save and Process Set to complete the configuration.


Step 3: Reviewing Results

● Categories auto-populate based on standard codes (e.g., A1 = Architecture, G = General, M = Mechanical).

● If a category is not detected, manually assign the correct one.

Key Differences in Navigation & Features

New Tabs Layout:

Sheets – List of uploaded drawings.

Versions – Previously labeled as “Revisions.”

Annotations – Manage markups and notes.

Details – Edit set status, name, address, issue date, and category.

Timeline – Tracks actions and revisions.

Editing Permissions:

● Only users within the Uploaded by Workspace can add revisions or make edits.
