Written by Eva Palomares

Overview

From logging in to managing contacts, companies, and employees, INGENIOUS.BUILD offers a seamless user experience through intuitive navigation and customizable dashboards. Whether you're responding to RFPs, submitting proposals, or tracking the progress of ongoing projects, every tool you need is just a click away.

Process

Logging in to INGENIOUS.BUILD

Log in to your Workspace or Create a Workspace by clicking on Create one now.

The login screen presents a standard email/password sign-in form, with the "Create one now" link displayed below it for setting up a new Workspace.

Navigating at the Workspace Level

When you first enter your Workspace you are at the Workspace level since you have not yet entered a Project.

Understanding the left-hand navigation

Lock it in the expanded position by clicking the lock icon. From here, you can see your workspace type. In this instance, we are in the Rep workspace.

The lock icon sits near the top of the left-hand navigation panel; clicking it keeps the panel expanded (showing full labels) rather than collapsing to icons only. Your workspace type is labeled near the top of this same panel.

The Main Dashboard

The Main Dashboard houses your recently viewed projects, upcoming meetings, unread notifications, as well as the ability to create a project or proposal.

These appear as separate widgets or cards arranged across the dashboard, each summarizing its category with quick-access buttons to create a new project or proposal.

You can always return to your 'Read Notifications' by using the Notifications tab at the bottom of the left-hand navigation menu.

This Notifications tab sits at the bottom of the left-hand navigation panel and opens your full notification history, including previously read items.

Contacts and Companies

The Contacts module is a database of all the contacts that are external to your company.

This module displays contacts as a searchable, filterable list or table.

The Companies module houses the companies associated with the contacts in the Contacts module.

This module similarly displays companies as a searchable, filterable list, each linked to their associated contacts.

Employees

The Employees module is the database of internal members of your company.

This module lists your internal team members with their roles and contact information.

RFP/Proposals

Within this module, you will see a list view of your Received RFPs and Proposals.

In the Received RFPs tab, you can Create Off-System RFP. You can also filter to view Pending, Intend To Bid, Declined To Bid, Proposal Created, Expired, and Withdrawn By Client.

These statuses appear as filter options above the RFP list, alongside a "Create Off-System RFP" button.

There is also an option to filter by Client.

This appears as its own dropdown filter, letting you narrow the RFP list down to a specific client.

In the Proposals tab, you can Create Proposal without RFP. You can filter to view Draft, Submitted, Revise & Resubmit, Won, Closed, Expired, Pending Contract, and Lost.

As with Received RFPs, these statuses appear as filter options above the Proposals list, alongside a "Create Proposal without RFP" button.

Lists & Templates

If you'd like to create a list and template, you can view this article on Lists & Templates.

This module lists your company's saved lists and templates, organized by type.

Projects and Project Invites

The Projects tab is a list page that displays all projects specific to you. You will only have access to projects you’ve been invited to.

This tab shows each project as a row or card with identifying details, such as name and status.

The Project Invitations tab displays invitations with statuses of Pending, Rejected, and Accepted.

These statuses appear as a status label on each invitation in the list.

Navigating at the Project Level

Once you enter a project, you are on the Project Level and your left-hand navigation includes different modules.

The Project Dashboard

Here, you will see an overview of the project such as your Project Information, Financial Summary, Committed Costs, Budget Changes, Risk Health, etc.

These appear as individual widgets across the Project Dashboard, each summarizing its respective data category.

The left-hand navigation houses all the different project modules.

At the project level, this panel lists each module (such as Budget, Contracts, Invoicing, Documents, and more) as its own entry, letting you jump between them.

INGENIOUS.BUILD empowers teams to work smarter, communicate better, and stay organized from day one—so you can focus more on building and less on busy work. Search through our entire library of Help Articles for more information on the module at the project level and how they function!
