Overview

Use our Buildings / Sites feature for building management. With Buildings / Sites, you can associate multiple projects to the same building using the building/site address. You can also use Buildings / Sites to manage subsites within the building and the tenants that occupy those subsites.

For example, you could manage a property with multiple tenants, each with an ongoing renovation. The property can be entered as a Building, with a project and subsite for each tenant. This will allow you to easily see and manage all of the projects associated with this one building.

Glossary

Buildings / Sites replaces Project Site Addresses. With the release of the Buildings / Sites feature, all of your existing Project Site Addresses will automatically become Buildings/Sites in your workspace!

Add more detail to your Project Sites by using Subsites and Job Site Locations. For example:

Project Site = Building = previously Project Site Address: 101 Broadway, Nashville, Tennessee

Subsite: 10th Floor

Job Site Location: Restroom

Note: Buildings / Sites is only available in Owner and Owner's Rep workspace types.

Prerequisites

None. With the release of the Buildings / Sites feature, all of your existing Project Site Addresses will automatically become Buildings / Sites in your workspace!

Process

You can add a Building / Site in three ways: During Project Creation, from Project Settings, and from Left-Hand Navigation.

During Project Creation

During project creation, enter the project site address.

If the address entered is new and has not been entered previously, a new building associated with this project will be created.

If the entered address has been entered previously, this project will be associated with the existing Building / Site.

The "Address 1" field will be used to create the Building / Site. The "Address 2" field is optional, but can be used to create a Subsite. Examples of a Subsite are a floor, suite, or apartment.

From Project Settings

To change or add a site to a project after it has been created, go to Project Settings > Project Site Locations.

Within Project Settings, you can also add Job Site Locations for even more granularity. An example is:

Project Site: 101 Broadway, Nashville Tennessee

Subsite: 10th Floor

Job Site Location: Restroom

Job Site Locations can be referenced in Punch List and Tasks.

Within Project Settings, you can also add additional Project Sites and Subsites. This is useful in scenarios where one project has multiple locations.

Example 1: Your restroom renovation project covers the restrooms on both the 10th Floor and the 11th Floor. Each floor could be a Subsite.

Example 2: You are renovating multiple locations of the same restaurant and managing all the renovations within one project. Each location could be a different Project Site. For more information about managing one project with multiple project sites, check out our Multi-Site feature (coming soon).

From Left-Hand Navigation

To view all of your Buildings / Sites, go to Buildings / Sites on the Left-Hand Navigation.

From here, you can add new Buildings / Sites or manage existing.

You can also import Buildings / Sites by clicking the 3 dots > Import Building. Download and fill out the provided import template. Upload the completed file and click Import.
