Overview

We have been hard at work making Punch List a quicker, more efficient, and better tool just for you! This article will cover all functionality that you can expect from this beta release, as well as what else is coming down the pipeline. We'll also include some tips and tricks so you can get the most out of this tool while providing us with your feedback.

Testing tips and tricks

Pre-requisites and how to access

  1. Log into any Staging workspace

  2. Set up a project (recommended to start from scratch, but you can use existing)

  3. Add 2-3 members within Project Directory, preferably from different workspaces

  4. Go into Project Settings > Punch List, and add at least 4 stamps

  5. Go into Project Settings > Jobsite Locations, and add some locations

  6. Within the Drawings module, upload and publish a current set

  7. Finally, to access the new Punch List module, add: punch/lists/items at the end of a project URL after project ID.

Suggested testing actions

Upon landing within the new Punch List module, you can perform the following actions:

  1. Create a punch item

  2. Create a punch list and specify a list duration time with a default due date for punch items within this list

  3. Create a punch item within this list and notice the pre-filled due date

  4. Create another punch item with a similar title (same first word...) as your last item, and notice the auto-finish of the title, as well as pre-selected stamp based on last used

  5. Create multiple punch items and observe if the process feels easy or tedious

  6. Bulk edit punch items from the listing view and observe if the process feels easy or tedious

  7. Assign multiple punch items to a user for ball in court

  8. Archive a punch item

  9. Edit the list

  10. Close the list

  11. If you have access to another workspace, test it from a cross-workspace functionality!
