Overview
Congratulations! You have built out your budget and are ready to approve it. Please note that once your budget is approved, you will now be able to create budget changes which will appear in columns B and D, but column A will be locked and cannot be editable.
Process
If you do not have a multi-step approval process
Within your project, utilize the left-hand navigation to access and click on the Master Project Budget / ACR.
On the top right corner, click Submit for Internal Approval (screenshot 1) and then select Approve Budget (screenshot 2).
Type "YES" to confirm budget approval, and add a note on the budget approval (i.e. date, name, reason, etc) then click Approve Budget.
Now you will be able to click approve once you have filled out the necessary/required information to approve your budget.
If you do have a multi-step approval process
If you have a standard Approval Workflow, go to the Budget Approval tab and click Create Approval Workflow to additional steps to your Approval process. Follow the steps outlined in this article to implement your project.
To set up the Approval Workflow, utilize the left-hand navigation on the left-hand side while in your project and select "Project Settings".
Once you have selected "Project Settings" you will now select "Financial Approval Workflows" to set up your Workflow process, make sure to select "Budget".
On the Budget section of "Financial Approval Workflows," select "EDIT" to set up your workflow process. After the implementation of your project, follow step #2 as outlined above, noting that this step must be completed by everyone in the approval sequence.
