Overview
By creating customizable templates, you ensure that important budget details—like currency, units, and pricing—are standardized and easily accessible for any project, reducing errors and saving time.
Process
Creating a List
Navigate to the Lists & Templates module.
Within Lists & Templates, click on "View Budget Line Groups".
Click "Add List" at the top right corner, and enter in a name. This can be edited at a later time.
Specify the Currency and Units that this list will use. The list will default to the currency and unit of measure set for your workspace within Company Settings, but you have the ability to change them.
Note: A budget line item list will only be available on a project with the same settings. For example, if a project is using USD, it will only be able to use budget line item templates also using USD.
Click "Add Budget Line Item" to start adding budget line items.
Add a Title/Budget Line and Unit of Measure for the budget line item. These are the only required fields. You can also add a unit price, and description.
Once you are done adding budget line items, you can now create a template from this list!
Creating a Template
Click on the Templates tab at the top.
Click "Add Template" at the top right corner. You will be prompted to name the template, which can be edited later.
On this page, you are able to edit the Template Name, add a Template Description to help your employees find this template, and add in Line Items from the List you just created.
To add Line Items from the list, select the ones you'd like to add, and then click the right arrow to bring it over to the template. Use the double arrow to bring all of them over if applicable.
Once you are done, click "Actions" > "Save Template". You can now use this template on your Meeting Minutes!
