Overview

The RFI Configuration feature empowers you to manage your project's RFIs with precision, setting clear expectations for response times and assigning key team members as reviewers. This reduces delays, improves project collaboration, and ensures that RFIs are handled in a timely and structured manner, contributing to a smoother project lifecycle.

Process

Configuring RFI Settings

  1. Within the project, navigate to Project Settings.

  2. Under Project Settings, select RFI.

  3. Under Default Review Time tab, click Edit and setup response times.

  4. Under General tab, you can assign the Default Official Design Reviewer, Default RFI Manager, and Default Impacted Parties.

Official Design Reviewer (Design Workspace): Manages RFI responses by proposing or approving official solutions.

    • Key Responsibilities:

      • Propose or approve solutions.

      • Change the Ball in Court before returning the RFI to the RFI Manager.

Impacted Parties: Users notified of RFI status changes.

RFI Manager (General Contractor Workspace): Oversees the RFI lifecycle, from creation and submission to review and distribution.

    • Key Responsibilities:

      • Change the Ball in Court (BIC) at any time.

      • Propose and approve official solutions.

      • Close and distribute the RFI after a response is received.

By configuring default response times and assigning key team members to specific responsibilities, you help eliminate delays and improve collaboration.
