Archiving a Project: Preserving Data While Removing It from Active View

Overview

This guide will help you to manage outdated or unnecessary projects by using "Archived" status to preserve data, keeping the workspace organized without losing important information.


IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Any user can archive a project.

  • Archiving is a reversible action, so projects can be restored if needed.

  • If you archive a project, notifications will be sent to the client and vendors with whom you have contracts.


Process

Archiving a Project

  1. Select the Project: Locate the project you want to cancel or archive in your workspace.

  2. Access Project Settings: Navigate to the project menu and choose Project Settings.

  3. Project Information: Go to the Project Information tab and click Edit.

  4. Project Status:

    • To archive: Update the project status to Archive. A pop-up window will appear. Select Yes, Archive Project.

  5. Save Changes: Click Save Settings to complete the process.
