Budget Layout Views in INGENIOUS.BUILD let users customize project budgets, highlighting key metrics like costs and changes for faster decision-making.

Overview

With Budget Layout Views in INGENIOUS.BUILD, you can optimize how you visualize project budgets, simplifying complex financial data into actionable insights. This feature allows both standardized and personalized views, helping teams work more efficiently while maintaining control across projects.


Prerequisites

  • Company Templates require Lists and Templates permissions (typically Admins).

  • Users without these permissions can still create and manage Your Templates.

  • Available in all enterprise level workspaces.


Process

Creating a Budget Layout View

  1. Navigate to Lists and Templates

    • From the left-hand navigation menu, go to Lists and Templates.

    • Select the Budget Layout View tile from the right.

  2. Add a New Layout View

    • Click Create New Template

    • Enter a Template Name.

    • Select the desired Budget/Anticipated Cost Report Columns to include.

    • Use the > arrow to add or remove columns from the layout.

  3. Save Your Layout

    • After finalizing your selections, click Save Layout.


  1. Creating a Layout View from a Project Budget

    • Navigate to Projects and select a project.

    • Open Project Budget.

    • On the right-hand side of the screen, click the Change View Layout dropdown.

    • Scroll to the bottom of the dropdown and click Create New Layout.

    • Enter a Layout View Name

    Choose where to save the layout:

    • Company Templates, or

    • Your Templates

    Click Save to create the new layout view.

  2. Applying a Budget Layout View

    • Select a Project

    • Open the project navigation menu and select Project Budget/.

    • On the right-hand side of the screen, click the Change View Layout dropdown.

    • Select the desired Budget Layout View from the list.

    Set a Default View (Optional)

    Choose a layout view to set as your default, so it automatically loads when opening the project budget.


    Manage Layout Views (Optional)

    Edit, rename, or archive existing layout views as needed.

    Revert to Default View (Optional)

    Revert to the default view to restore all columns.

    Exporting

    Exports to Excel will reflect the selected layout view.

Note: The selected layout will display only the columns you included, simplifying your project budget view.
