Overview
Streamline your project management and ensure seamless collaboration within the INGENIOUS.BUILD platform by leveraging the Company Information and Preferences features. This tool allows Administrators to manage global defaults and essential company details.
1. Setting up Company Information
Navigate to Company Settings by clicking the account name/profile icon in the corner of the screen.
This icon sits in the corner of the screen and opens a menu with Company Settings as one of its options.
Click the Settings - Company Information tab.
Scroll to the bottom of the General page and click Edit.
This Edit button sits at the bottom of the General page.
Enter your details and click Save.
2. Entering Company Preferences (Timezone & Region)
The Settings - Preferences section is where you standardize how the platform behaves for your entire organization.
Click the Preferences tab.
Click Edit in the bottom corner.
This Edit button sits in the bottom corner of the Preferences tab.
Set Company Timezone: Select your primary region.
Note: This sets the default timezone for all future employees who join the workspace. (e.g., If set to Los Angeles, all new hires will automatically start on Pacific Time).
This appears as a dropdown field for selecting your company's primary timezone region.
Set Units & Language: Choose your default language, unit of measure, and currency.
These appear as separate dropdown fields for Language, Unit of Measure, and Currency, grouped together on the Preferences tab.
Click Save.
Important: Individual Timezone Overrides
It is important to note that the Company Timezone only sets the initial default for new users.
Employee Flexibility: If an employee lives in a different region (e.g., the company is in LA, but the employee is in New York), they can override the company default.
How to Override: Individual users can change their own timezone by navigating to Your Account > Profile. This change only affects their personal view and does not change the settings for the rest of the company.
The "Your Account" menu is accessed from the same profile icon used for Company Settings; within it, the Profile tab includes an editable timezone field specific to that individual user.

Grant Permissions: Allow/Restrict Project Managers from starting or duplicating projects.
Standardization: Set automated numbering formats for RFPs, Proposals, and Contracts to maintain compliant practices across all projects.
