Overview

Project Requests and Pipelines help you capture, organize, and evaluate incoming project ideas in a structured, consistent way. The workflow starts with creating a Project Request Intake Form, then building a Project Requests Pipeline to control how each request is submitted, scored, and reviewed.

Prerequisites

  • To create Project Request Pipelines from scratch or edit their Intake Forms, your Account Type must have Full Access to the Capital Planning module.

  • If you would like to make edits to the Form portion of a Project Request Pipeline you must have a separate permission to "Create/Edit Company Lists & Templates"

Process

Lists & Templates

  1. Under Lists & Templates, go to Project Request Intake Forms.

  2. Create a template.

Project Requests Pipeline

  1. Under Capital Planning, navigate to Project Requests.

  2. Create Project Requests Pipeline.

  3. Add a name, client, and unit of measure. You can also change the currency and add cost categories if needed. Click Next Step.

  4. Under the Project Request Form tab, you have the option to Load From Template using the template you created or you could Start From Scratch.

  5. If you choose to start from scratch, you’ll need to add a category.

  6. Select if Single Choice, Multiselect, or Text Input.

  7. If you choose Single Choice, you can assign a scoring system and automatically assign priority. This will allow you to assign the weight of the question and the score of each answer. Assign your priority.

  8. Click Create Pipeline.

Project Request

  1. Within the Project Request Pipeline, click Create Project Request.

  2. Fill in the required fields.

  3. Select the Request Site and Size.

  4. Fill out the Request Form.

  5. Add Supporting Documents.

  6. You can Save as Pending Review, Mark as Reviewed, or Mark as Rejected.

  7. Once created, you can see Basic Information, Estimated Cost, Timeline, Connected Project, Connected Capital Plan, and more.

  8. If the Project Request is in Draft, from the three-dot menu, you can Edit, Archive or Initiate Project.

Your setup is complete. You can now collect, evaluate, and act on project requests with confidence.
