Overview

Ensure employees have access only to the clients they are assigned to, enhancing security and project management efficiency. By assigning clients to employees, administrators can control project access, preventing unauthorized collaboration while maintaining flexibility.

Prerequisites

You must be an Administrator to access an individual Employee's page to make the edits described in this article.

Process

Assigning Clients to Employees

  1. Navigate to the Employees module.

  2. Select an employee, then click Edit Employee.

  3. Under the Access Control tab, you will see a dropdown where you can select the clients assigned to the employee. As a note, you can select multiple clients.

Important: If you assign a client to an employee, the employee will only have access to projects that list the clients they are assigned to in the project directory.

In the example above, Blake Abd's assigned clients are Off System Owner, Contact Test, and Ingenious Owner.

If Blake Abd is invited to collaborate on the Ingenious AI project whose client is Ingenious Construction Co., he won’t have access unless an administrator adds Ingenious Construction Co. to Blake Abd's list of Assigned Clients.

4. Click Save.

Note: If you are unable to access a project you've been invited to, please reach out to an administrator to confirm which clients you are assigned to.

With precise client assignments, employees can collaborate seamlessly while safeguarding sensitive project information.
